Our families have been farming in East Anglia for three generations. We harvest potatoes, maize and rye on beautiful farmland across the Colne Valley just north of Colchester in Essex.

We’re Laura and Robert Strathern, a third-generation farming family growing potatoes, and producers of award-winning crisps right here on the farm. Here when it matters

The 2022 potato harvest across the UK and Europe has been impacted by the very dry, exceptionally hot weather this summer. Yields are down and this is likely to effect potato and crisp availability
in all sectors of the market.

But..

We dont supply supermarkets, and are not contract bound to supply them at the expense of smaller, independent customers, a pattern we’ve seen from some of our competitors in recent years. Plus, we grow the potatoes we cook, so potato supply is never one of
our concerns.
