Welcome to the home of seriously good crisps and spuds

Hello!

Our families have been farming in East Anglia for four generations. We harvest potatoes, maize and rye on beautiful farmland across the Colne Valley just north of Colchester in Essex.

We’re the Stratherns, Laura and Robert. This is Fairfields Farm, where it all happens, from growing our potatoes to making our handcooked crisps, which we’ve been doing here since 2006.

Growing potatoes is something our families have been perfecting for four generations. Despite this long history, we’re not afraid to try new things – particularly if by changing our methods we reduce our impact on the environment around us. In fact, we’re setting our sights firmly on being on-farm net zero. You can find out more about our sustainability journey here.

Unlike many snack and produce companies, we’re not owned by any huge corporation, or beholden to shareholders. The beating heart of our business is the incredible team we’ve built around us, who bring so much care and dedication to what they do.
